June Lunch and Learn

NWGA Center for Independent Living

Cordially Invites You to Our Free June Lunch and Learn

The Latest in Tools and Tech, and Our Age-old Relationship with Dogs

Did you ever wonder: “How do they do that?” this month’s Lunch and Learn will focus on the gadgets, apps and widgets that people who have disabilities use in their daily lives to enhance their independence. Whether you have a disability, work with or know people with disabilities, or are just curious, please come to this fun and informative event. Lunch is free!

Our guest speaker will be Liz Persaud, Training, Outreach and Development Coordinator for Tools for Life | AMAC Accessibility The National Pass It On Center Georgia Tech. Ms. Persaud has worked in the field of assistive technology for many years. She is a very engaging speaker, and will be bringing a variety of tools and technology to demonstrate.

Then, NWGA CILs Peer Mentor, Tonia Clayton, will be speaking about the roles that dogs can play for people with different disabilities. One of the dogs may even be available for petting!
